3.9 Using Other Autopilots with the EXP5000 (PFD

530-00200-() software only)

The prevous sections describe how the S-TEC 55X, S-Tec 1500, and

S-Tec Intelliflight 2100 autopilots work with the EXP5000. This

section describes features that the EXP5000 supports with other

autopilots. If your aircraft is equipped with an autopilot other than

those described in previous sections and if you have PFD software

P/N 530-00200-(), the EXP5000 may provide the following:

● Flight Director (FD) steering command bars (optional)

● Autopilot bugs, which display and can be changed from the PFD,

but are not used by the autopilot.

This section describes EXP5000-specific autopilot features. For

detailed information on using your autopilot, see your autopilot

documentation.

Autopilot Annunciations

The PFD does not display autopilot annunciations for other autopilots.

Autopilot Bugs

Altitude and vertical speed bugs are displayed and can be changed

on the PFD, but are not used by the autopilot; they are advisory only.

Horizontal Modes

All horizontal modes are controlled from the autopilot as described in

the autopilot documentation. The heading bug displays on the

EXP5000, however it cannot be set from the EXP5000.
